PinkoCuts
With Brief Introduction from Hair For The People
PinkoCuts works every Friday out of Botany The Studio, a tranquil, independent studio space in downtown Vancouver.
Chris/PinkoCuts (He/They) is at the very beginning of their career as a Hair Stylist. Folks looking to book should expect longer than average service times and work commensurate with experience.
Chris is taking continuing education for their career from Hair For The People in creative and affirming design as well as ongoing barbering classes. His booking menu will expand as his experience does - keep checking in!
Chris has an excellent eye for art and design and already shows great talent in crafting defined shapes with an alternative flair. Even more importantly for this discipline, they display an effortless gift for Empathy and Communication. Combined, these skills have immense promise and I could not be more excited for their future in this career.
In keeping with Botany The Studio’s values, we’re proud to be trying a new model of Junior stylist where the studio is absorbing all auxiliary costs. This allows Chris to charge competitively on a sliding scale for the start of their career, while still making the minimum that is ethical for labour - a living wage.
Chris will expand his hours and rates over the next three years as their education syncs up with commercial value.
This is a pilot program with the goal of creating a more equitable work environment for stylists in the learning stage. Thank you so much for your participation and support of Botany The Studio’s values and this new stylist.
